À la recherche du temps perdu, was first published in English as Remembrance of Things Past, translated by C. K. Scott Moncrieff (1889-1930). In the Chatto and Windus Uniform Edition [1941], this was published in 12 Volumes, with the first five Tomes each published in two parts.
